YOU CAN CLICK YOUR MOUSE ON MY FINISHED TAG AND DRAG IT DOWN THE PAGE WITH YOU AS YOU DO THE STEPS SO THAT YOU CAN REFER TO THE FINISHED COPY AS YOU FOLLOW MY TUTORIALS.

For this tutorial you will need PSP 9

Tube I used or one of your own

Font I used - MrBlaketon - or one of your own


You can use my arrow to mark your place as you follow my tutorial. Just drag it with your mouse to the place that you are up to.

1. Open a new canvas 350 x 500 pixels on a transparant background.

2. Go to selections, select all. Copy your butterfly tube and paste it into selection on your new canvas.

3. Selections, select none.

4. Go to effects, reflection effects, and choose kaleidoscop. Apply the following settings.

5. Click on Image, canvas size, and increase the size of our canvas to 600 x 600.

6. Now go to effects, texture effects and apply Mosaic antique using the following settings.

7. Effects, geometric effects, spherize using these settings.

8. Click on Image, resize, and resize this layer by 65%. Make sure that RESIZE ALL LAYERS is NOT checked.

9. Right click on your butterfly layer and duplicate. X out the visibility on your original layer, and make sure that your duplicate layer is active.

10. Go to effects, texture effects, and select fur. Apply the following settings.

11. Position your images on your canvas like mine below.

12. Add a new raster layer and name it WHITE. Drag it to the bottom of your layer palette so that yours looks like mine. Use your paint bucket to flood fill this layer with your background color (white).

13. Click on your merged layer to make it active. Go to effects, distortion effects and apply TWIRL with the following settings.

14. Go back to your butterfly tube again and copy it. Paste it as a new layer on to your canvas, and rename this layer BUTTERFLY.

15. Then with your butterfly layer active, right click and duplicate it. On the copy layer go to image resize. Resize this layer by 80% making sure that RESIZE ALL LAYERS is NOT checked.

16. Arrange your butterflies on you canvas like mine below.

17. This is how your layer palette should look.

X out your WHITE layer and go to layers, merge visible.

18. Apply a drop shadow to your merged layer using the following settings. Color #57579D.

19. Set your foreground color to white and your background color to #57579D.

20. Click on your text tool, and select your font size 72. Make sure that create as a vector is checked.

21. Once you have applied your text use your mouse to stretch it out until you are happy with the text size.

22. Apply the following drop shadow.

Go back and apply the same drop shadow this time changing horizontal and vertical to - 10.

Now you can un X your white layer and click on layers, merge visible. Use your crop tool to get rid of the excess white from around the tag and you're done!

You can save your tag as a jpeg.
